Vice President

Amelia D. McClure joined The Corydon Group as Vice President in 2023. Most recently, she served as executive director of the Hoosier State Press Association (HSPA), a role in which she remains.

Growing up in the halls of the Indiana Statehouse, Amelia developed a passion for both journalism and public policy from a young age. There was a time when she thought a “biplane” was always boarded by former governor Evan Bayh and therefore a “Bayh” plane.

Amelia pursued a degree in political science from Kenyon College and graduated in 2012 with a B.A. and a concentration in law and society. She then attended Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating in 2015.

Amelia has held roles in every branch of government including time as a congressional intern and a county deputy prosecutor. She attended the Luke Kenley Leadership Conference, the Lugar Symposium, and is a graduate of Indiana Emerging Leaders. A member of GASI, she has served on the boards of the Junior League of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Bar Association.

Amelia lives in Eagle Creek with her husband Mark, a writer, and her daughter Charlotte.
